La Torre de Forcherón és una torre militar medieval de planta rectangular de tres pisos i que servia com un punt de guaita i defensa d’atacs enemics. Originalment, la torre va ser adossada al Castell d’Amposta, donat que la seva funció era la de protegir el litoral i el territori circumdant del Castell. Actualment, forma part d’un complex agrícola privat, una masia que s’ha adaptat per a turisme rural. Aquesta torre, que també es coneix com a Torre de Futxeron o la Forxerona, és un Bé Cultural d’Interès Nacional (BCIN) i es creu que va ser construïda sobre el segle XVI.

Es va construir, juntament amb d’altres com la Torre de l’Oriola i la de Poquessalses, per crear una xarxa de defensa davant les incursions de pirates i corsaris, sobretot arran d’un atac que va patir Amposta l’any 1540. Aquesta xarxa de vigilància era fonamental per protegir el territori i la seva gent.
